Pak bans traveling from 15 countries amid looming Omicron threat
Pakistan banned trip from 15 countries on Monday, except under certain circumstances, and tensed trip restrictions on 13 other countries under the trouble of the new COVID-19 variant Omicorn. |
The National Command and Operations Center of the taint-coronavirus agency reviewed the global Covid-19 epidemic in order to modify the bracket policy for air trip.
According
to the NCOC's statement, the conference revised the orders grounded on the
complaint biographies and health protocols applicable to trippers from different
countries, and divided them into three orders A, B, and C.
Category "C"
includes 15 countries Croatia, Hungary, Netherlands, Ukraine, Ireland,
Slovenia, Vietnam, Poland, South Africa, Mozambique, Lesotho, Eswatini,
Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
" Complete
ban on inbound trip from Category C countries" has been assessed but
essential trip from these countries would bear carrying impunity instrument
from the impunity commission, according to the statement.
The
impunity commission would allow trip only with 100 per cent vaccination for all
inbound passengers and those above six would be needed to be in possession of a
negative (maximum 48 hours old) before boarding PCR test report.
Still, refugees are exempted from PCR test report demand.
All trippers
of above six times would suffer RAT on appearance at the field indeed if
travelling via direct or circular breakouts from Cat ‘C' countries.
Still, RAT
negative cases from Omicron variant countries (South Africa, Mozambique,
Lesotho, Eswatini, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia) will have to suffer 3 days
obligatory counterblockade followed by PCR test to be conducted on the third
day by civil administration.
The NCOC
ranks Germany, Trinidad and Tobago, Azerbaijan, Mexico, Sri Lanka, Russia, the
United States, United Kingdom, Thailand, France, Austria, Afghanistan and
Turkey. Trippers in these countries should be vaccinated 100 percent
Arbitrary
breakout RAT will be conducted on the presence of Category 'B' countries. RAT
negative cases will be allowed but RAT positive cases will be quarantined for
10 days.
All other
countries are not included in the 'C' and 'A' categories. Trippers should be
vaccinated 100 percent. All six of these and more must have a negative PCR test
report (maximum 48 hours old) before boarding. However, the refugees have been
exempted from the condition of PCR examination.
All
Pakistanis can travel from Category 'C' countries without impunity till 15
December but testing protocols would be obligatory on appearance.
Pakistan,
meanwhile, has reported 336 new cases and 10 deaths in the last 24 hours,
putting the number of verified cases and Covid-19 at risk, according to the
National Ministry of Health Services.
People
have recovered so far, but about 862 are still in critical condition.
Pakistan
has completely vaccinated over 52 million people while about 82 million were
